How to Send Encrypted Emails

Sending out encrypted emails is easy using our CTS Email Security Service.  Encrypting an email is incredibly useful when it comes to  sending out sensitive information to clients. This prevents anyone from intercepting your conversions.

General Encryption Method

Use the method below to encrypt emails from any email client.

  1. Create your email as you would for any other email. For the subject, you will have to add the phrase (secure) anywhere in the subject

It is important that you type it with the parenthesis, as this will let the service know that the email should be sent through encryption.

  2. Once you send it to the other party, they will receive an email with a link to view your encrypted message. The link will expire in 30 days.

Encrypt via Outlook

Use the method below to encrypt emails using the Outlook built in Encryption button.

  1. When composing a new email, click on “Encryption” from the toolbar and select “Encrypt”. A new banner will show up notifying you that the email will be encrypted.
